Aric Chen is an architecture and design writer, critic and curator based in Beijing. He has been a frequent contributor to dozens of publications including The New York Times, Wallpaper, PIN-UP, and Architectural Record, and has curated projects for venues spanning Get It Louder (China), the Center for Architecture (New York) and Design Museum Holon (Israel) to ExperimentaDesign (Amsterdam), the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennale (France) and Art Basel Miami Beach/Design Miami (US). In 2008 and 2009, Chen served as co-creative director of 100% Design Shanghai. He is currently creative director of a new Beijing Design Week, launching September 25, 2011.
